Bonsai Kitten Clothing Review

The ultimate 'comfy cute' clothing label that are sure to become your wardrobe staples! That is why it has taken me sometime to get around to photographing and writing this review because at least one of the tops from my collection are constantly in the washing basket. 

 

 

Bonsai Kitten is the brain child of Gold Coast designer based Rhea. Her label specialises in "comfortable, high quality, retro inspired clothing, underwear and intimates that you can wear everyday and love forever." And I can vouch for that! I got my first Pussybow top when I was pregnant and it grew with me so perfectly and was also a favourite breast feeding friendly item as the neck detail offered a great distraction for fiddly hands. 

Not only are they so comfortable to wear, but it also feels nice to know the ethics and morals behind the clothing you are wearing in today's fast fashion madness. Each item comes with a swing tag stating their ethical production: "Bonsai Kitten pieces are proudly and ethically produced in Bali, Indonesia in collaboration with Adopta Co-op, Widows from the Bali bombing."

So this is my very modest Bonsai Kitten Collection (oh yeah, it will surely grow!) 

'Wednesday Addams' top + 'Yellow Tartan Gathered Pinafore' skirt

 

Made from a soft viscose/cotton lycra these tops are amazingly comfortable, and I love the detail of this collar and key hole neckline. I am a sucker for a pinafore (also see the pants below), I love how the shape accentuates my waist and what 90s born girl can go past yellow tartan - I mean as if! 

 

'Pussybow' top in blue flamingo + 'Suspender Swing Pants'

Rhea features the designs from many other amazing artists in limited edition tops, like this one by Miss Cherry Martini. These pants are my 'boss babe' staples featuring the scooped pinafore detail, wide legs and functional pockets. 

 

'Black Pussybow' top + 'Sailor Pants' in Black

 

Because it's not a wardrobe staple unless you have it in black right? Can't go past a black pussybow top and these ultra high waisted and sassy as hell sailor pants. Mine are in black denim, but you can still purchase them in a dark navy denim.

My ultimate cute summer outfit! These shorts have a great flirty appeal and have me frolicking in the summer breeze every time I wear them. I may have also purchased this purple pussybow top just to match.
